Wow! It’s been a loooong time since I last posted…So long that I almost forgot how to do it! Today I was using my time efficiently and managed to quickly take care of a few things that have been forgotten about. I fixed the feedback system now, so I can receive Emails from this site again. It broke when I switched all my email over to using Google’s hosted domains.
I’m not sure where to begin with what has happened in our lives since the last post, so I’ll just mention what we did this weekend. Friday I went with Mandie to the pulmonary doctor. She was supposed to be getting a C.T. scan when we were there, but for what ever reason they had scheduled that, so we have no new news as to how well she is recovering from her surgery. They did do an X-ray and said that it appears that she is healing well. Still, the infectious disease doctor wants to see the C.T. scan results in order to determine if he can take her off the anti-fungals. Hopefully we can get the scan done soon.
After the doctors visit, we went to the mall and I was able to get my birthday gift. My 40 Gb ipod died a couple months ago, and I’ve been complaining about it ever since. So Mandie got me a gift card for the Apple store so I could buy one of the new 80 Gb ipods. It’s nice to take my music and podcasts with me again…I also used a couple of gift cards I had received for Christmas at the Sharper Image store to buy a new Skagen watch. I like the thin watches.
Welcome back!

Yikes! I’ve abandoned my web site for the last four months. I guess I should try to get into posting more often. I’ve been making some changes to the format of the site over the past few days. I’m basically trying to make the layout more friendly to use and make it easier for me to organize things.
Anyway, things have been kinda slow at work. We finally got our web site online. Hey, it’s a trucking/warehousing company, since they don’t really do business on the web, it doesn’t need to be very fancy. Some day I’ll make it so customers can log-in and enter and check their orders.
I’ll be taking vacation at the end of September to go up to New York for my little brother’s wedding. Hopefully before I go to that, I’ll have a nice gallery page setup so I can post some of the pics as soon as I can. Anyhow I’ve been working out practically everyday to get into shape for the tuxedo fitting. Ever since the day that someone at work called me “fat”, I’ve been pretty obsessed with getting back into shape. I’ve got so much workout equipment, there’s no excuse for me not to be in better shape.
When I’m not working out, I’m sitting in front of our new boob-tube. Check it out here.
Oh well, enough rambling for now… Maybe someday I can get Mandie to post….

Mandie and I have been stressed over our job situation. Our company is having difficulties lately. Because they can’t afford to pay the premiums for our group health insurance, they have decided to cancel the policy after this month.(Yeah, nice of them to give us less than a month’s notice!) Anyhow we’ve been figuring out what to do about that. Mandie’s looking for another job. I’ll stick around as long as I can. I’ve been spending alot of time building up my investments, if something happens to my job, I will at least have something else to help me pay the bills.

Wow, It’s been almost a few weeks since my last entry. I kinda had a feeling it would be difficult to make updates to a blog consistently.
Well, we’ve been quite busy with unpacking and setting things up in the house. I finally got the garage cleaned up enough to be able to park cars in it this past weekend. The builders finally finished the majority of my list. There are just a few small things that need to be patched up at some point. We’re still anxiously awaiting our new bedroom set to arrive so we can finish decorating our room (and then start on the spare rooms).
Mandie finally picked our her wedding dress. She’s quite relieved to have that out of the way. I think now she just needs to get the bridesmaid’s dresses. I’ve already picked out the tuxedos for my part of the party.
I think this week’s big task will be to figure out what to do with Mandie’s house. Originally we were going to rent it out, but now we’re thinking that it’d just be better to sell it. I think she wants to cash out and re-invest her part of the equity into a piece of land somewhere. Yes, we’re already thinking ahead to our next house.

Don’t tell my boss, but I’m blogging at work right now…Yes, it’s Sunday…I should be home spending quality time with the dogs and doing house chores. This weekend is a little different because of a “glitch” in our day Friday. See, on Friday I was supposed to take Mandie in for a (long overdue) colonoscopy. She spent all day Thursday “prepping” by starving herself and then drinking the magic flushing potion that evening. We went in early Friday to get it over with quickly so that she could come home and have the day to recover and EAT. As it turns out, her blood pressure was too high, very high. So I returned home to get the blood pressure medicine that she was told to gradually stop taking. The doctor wanted to see if taking the medicine would help to lower the blood pressure so that he could do the procedure. It didn’t lower enough, in fact they wheeled her across the street to the hospital emergency room, where we spent the rest of day. They gave her some medicine to try to help control the blood pressure, and wanted to keep her there overnight so that she (might) be able to see a cardiologist on Saturday morning. They also gave her the option to go home, relax and schedule an appointment with a cardiologist on Monday. Since we’ve spent soo much time in the hospitals lately, we took option number two. Maybe if she sees enough doctors, one of them will finally figure out what the problem is. We’re starting to wonder if it might be from the medication she’s been taking.
We’re getting really close to our house being completed finally. The walk-through is scheduled for this next Tuesday, and when we stopped by the house yesterday the building super-intendant was there fixing a bunch of little things getting it all ready. I had a pleasant conversation with the guy who does all the trim work on the houses, he was kind enough to point out some things that were missing that I didn’t even realize were missing. He was asking were we had gotten out wood floors from, as he had never seen such nice looking floors in any of the other houses he’s been working on. I had to tell him the whole story of how I had gotten them upgraded. Nice comments like that makes me feel better about spending the extra money on the upgrade. Thursday night I went to Lowes and opened a line of credit that I immediately maxed out on appliances! I had to buy the refridgerator, oven, washer, and dryer. I bought them all from the same place as the Lowes extended warranty will cover all the appliance that I buy from them, which makes it much more cheaper than other places I researched. I tried to beat them up on their already low prices by asking for a builders discount. They wouldn’t give it to me, but the salesman was nice enough to inform me that when we forward our address with the post office, they give a 10% off coupon, which I could bring in to get a price adjustment. NICE, that will be a little under $600 back. Another nice discount that I wasn’t expecting was a $300 rebate from GE for purchasing 4 GE Profile appliances. I think I made out pretty good for all stainless steel appliances, delivered and installed, with 5 years of extended service.
