Wow, It’s been almost a few weeks since my last entry. I kinda had a feeling it would be difficult to make updates to a blog consistently.

Well, we’ve been quite busy with unpacking and setting things up in the house. I finally got the garage cleaned up enough to be able to park cars in it this past weekend. The builders finally finished the majority of my list. There are just a few small things that need to be patched up at some point. We’re still anxiously awaiting our new bedroom set to arrive so we can finish decorating our room (and then start on the spare rooms).

Mandie finally picked our her wedding dress. She’s quite relieved to have that out of the way. I think now she just needs to get the bridesmaid’s dresses. I’ve already picked out the tuxedos for my part of the party.

I think this week’s big task will be to figure out what to do with Mandie’s house. Originally we were going to rent it out, but now we’re thinking that it’d just be better to sell it. I think she wants to cash out and re-invest her part of the equity into a piece of land somewhere. Yes, we’re already thinking ahead to our next house.

Amanda’s on her way to put the deposit down on our new wedding location at Stoneybrook West. After taking a hard look at out budget and the cost of the wedding that we were planning, we realized that we needed to search for other alternatives. We looked into getting married in Vegas, a small wedding on the beach, and other hotels around the area. Just as a shot, we thought we’d check out Stoneybrook since it’s close by our new home. They have everything wee need and the location is very well kept (obviously, it is a golf course). As an additional bonus, they are also very affordable! We’re both excited to have this detail now settled and out of the way. Now we can work on the rest of the planning and preparations…
